Gregory L. Altazan Jr., RN, BSN, CEN
Co-Owner, Geaux Care Staffing

With more than 15 years of experience in emergency medicine and a passion for servant leadership, Gregory “Greg” Altazan Jr. brings both clinical expertise and compassionate care to everything he does. As the co-owner of Geaux Care Staffing, Greg is committed to matching healthcare facilities with highly skilled, mission-minded professionals who not only meet the technical demands of patient care but uplift the human experience of healing.

Greg began his career in healthcare after earning his Associate Degree in Nursing from Baton Rouge Community College, where he served as president of the college’s inaugural nursing class. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and later pursued his Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Greg has spent over a decade in leadership at Baton Rouge General’s Emergency Department, where he developed clinical protocols, implemented systems to improve patient outcomes, and mentored teams of over 100 healthcare professionals. His work has earned him numerous honors, including Nurse of the Year and multiple nominations for excellence in nursing leadership and patient care.

Through Geaux Care Staffing, Greg and his team ensure that healthcare providers across Louisiana receive the dependable support they need, from skilled staffing solutions to global medical mission work. Under his leadership, the company has provided free medical care to hundreds of underserved patients across the globe.

Outside of healthcare, Greg’s heart for service shines through. He’s led disaster relief efforts, served in orphanages in Haiti and Mexico, and spent years volunteering through local churches to care for the elderly and hungry. A devoted husband and father, Greg is most proud of raising his children to value perseverance, empathy, thankfulness, humility, and wisdom.

Whether he’s leading a medical mission or mentoring new nurses, Greg’s approach is always the same: lead with integrity, serve with humility, and never stop learning.
